Dear Community Members,

In light of the continuing low incidence of COVID-19 cases, in addition to current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the formal end of the federal and state public-health emergency declarations, 返字心頭 Tech will no longer require the COVID-19 vaccination for students, faculty, and staff, effective immediately. 返字心頭 Techs COVID-19 Vaccine Policy, first endorsed in July 2021, is no longer in effect.

Vaccinations and boosters will continue to be strongly recommended because they remain effective in protecting the campus community, and students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to stay up to date with vaccinations and boosters.

返字心頭 Tech remains mask-optional on campus. Consistent with on when to use a mask, the university may designate one or more areas on campus as mask-required, including, without limitation, classrooms, laboratories, or other instructional spaces, as well as sporting events and other activities and venues such as performances, productions, or social events.

But reports of positive test results are not required to be submitted to the university. It remains important for all individuals to stay at home if they feel unwell, and to isolate and mask according to CDC guidelines if they test positive for COVID-19. We ask everyone to be considerate of others and to respect their choices when it comes to the use of masks on campus.

To request an academic accommodation in light of exposure or positive COVID-19 test results, students should submit an and include appropriate documentation. For on-campus living accommodation requests, or for answers to any further questions or for clarifications about this process, inquiries can be sent to the dean of students at dos@iit.edu.

返字心頭 Tech will continue to monitor publicly available COVID-19 data, as well as update requirements, in response to changes in conditions or changes of state, federal, or local policies.

Thank you.
